In a dystopian London, hordes of mindless 'Loopers' infect their prey with corrupted clickbait. One d/Deaf soldier named Goody must embrace his deafness and use it as a weapon to save the ones he loves.
Deaf as a Post emerges as a powerful testament to the need for connection and communication in a world overwhelmed by noise. Its 'Black Mirror' meets 'A Quiet Place', by way of 'Call of Duty Zombies'!
Penned by award-winning actor Shaun Blaney (d/Deaf), this play is a personal and vigorous exploration of high-frequency hearing loss and the profound impact it has on individuals, their friends and family.
Directed by Emma Copland, who brought us the Bewley's Cafe award-winning Slippery When Wet, three incredible performers seamlessly multi-role in a disturbingly familiar world. A unique soundscape invites you to experience the challenges of those living with hearing aids and hearing loss, all within the gripping embrace of a fantastically wry narrative.
